Picture Necklace Holder

{What you need}
{pic is a little lopsided..lol}
  I was having a horrible day (finding out my new niece was born today made it better:)) I still needed a creative outlet to get my mind off some things.  Making a trip to Michaels always makes me happy! I've been searching for a jewelry box I actually like, with no luck.  I purchased glue, picture frame, cool piece of paper, and some pins.  Cost me ten dollars, not bad. It looks really nice on my wall holding my necklaces!  It only took me five minutes to make.  I love it, what do you think?

Chocolate Dipped Honeycomb

{should look like this after it cooks to hardball point}
{semi-sweet chocolate melting}
I decided to make some candy today... the good thing about this recipe Hokey Pokey {aka Honeycomb} is there are only a couple things you need.  I did attempt this twice before I got it just right.  The recipe does not tell you to cook the sugar and syrup to the hardball stage{which is why I had to do this twice}.  I have always loved this candy! I remember getting it at a candy store all the time.  Super excited that I can whip up a batch anytime now=} It took me right back to when I was little.

Strawberry-Coconut Daiquiris

Today it was The first day in a long time it has been hot outside.  Im not a huge drinker, but every now and then a drink sounds good.  I only will drink something if its sweet, so i decided to make Strawberry-Coconut Daiquiris.  I changed the recipe a little.  I prefer lemon over lime, split the fruit half pineapple half strawberry.  My man and I love this drink! Its about 112 calories a serving, not bad!

Fried Green Tomato Salad with Chipotle Dressing

[Letting my tomatoes dry out with salt.  I chose to use cornmeal to fry them}
Finished it off with some chicken:}
I decide to make something that takes me back..Fried Green Tomato Salad with Chipotle Dressing.  Since I am half Creole, I have fond memories of my mom making fried green tomatoes for me.  Here is a little spin to it.  To say that this was an easy recipe would make me a liar.  Making the dressing from scratch while tomatoes are frying is not ideal.  The green tomatoes were difficult to find but the Adobe sauce was almost impossible.  After 3 stores, I finally found it at a random mexican store.  I found the recipe to make the sauce and that seemed even more difficult! so the search was well worth it.  Despite the hassle, it was two thumbs up!

3 Cheese Mostaccioli

{Ready for the oven}
{set my ladybug timer for 20 min}
  Although it was a  warm day, I was in the mood to make a hearty dish.  I tend to plan my meals out of what I already have in my kitchen.  Today it was ground beef.  I find that pre-grated cheeses have a funny texture {almost waxy} and don't melt well.  If you have a extra minute, buy the block of mozzarella, and grate it.  Plus, its cheaper!  Also add a cup more of the tomato sauce then the recipe calls for {or your dish will be a little dry}.  I feel that you cant have a 3 Cheese Mostaccioli Bolognese without bread.:

Orange Brownies

{picking oranges off my tree}
{Brownie batter}
{End Result}
  It is the season of citrus.  I decided to take advantage of the abundant amount of oranges in my front yard.  This is the first brownie I have ever made that is not chocolate-Orange Brownies with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting.  Note: Do not try making this until you purchase a electric mixer!{My arm almost fell off beating the batter and frosting into submission}.  They were light and tart, which made them yummy!  p.s.* Put any orange peels down your sink instead of the trash.  It fills your kitchen with freshness*

The truth is everything and anything.  Has anyone tried these new Tapito Doritos? they are heaven sent! delish.  The Bamboo earrings caught my eye on everythinggirlslove.com.  Although I am pleased with them, I went through hell to get them.  It was a countless number of emails and a long two months before I received them! When Spring arrives, I get excited to garden.  Here is a Tomato plant I just purchased.  You cant go wrong with Chanel, its so simple and classic.  Thinking about wearing my bright red Bordello heels tomorrow! we will see, stay tuned for that..I picked these up at Kat Von D's shop in Hollywood.

Get Soft And Luminous Skin {on a budget!}

I know a few men who wear bronzer, N7 wash off is good.  This  Bronzer has no shimmer
Tantalizer, another favorite Sublime Bronze, Mac strobe, and Royal Almond Oil by Jafra
~My favorite add-ins to my lotion~
   After looking at my photos I posted yesterday, I realized I need a little color! Since I am fast approaching twenty seven, I have sworn off the sun.  Here is a trick to have a glow without ruining your skin. I am all about saving time and money. This glow secret does just that! Here how: First, I buy a big bottle of inexpensive, unscented lotion{I get mine from the dollar store!}.  Next, I add about a handful of liquid shimmer{I use Strobe Liquid from Mac} OR substitute the shimmer for bronzer to get a little color instead{I like Tantalizer by Lorac}. Last, shake it all up! keep it by your bathtub so your reminded to use it.

business first

  I adore this white leather and gold versace cuff I got in Italy last year!  I am wearing a dress and shoes from Bebe. My bag is Louis Vuitton.  It was a little chilly outside for this outfit today but I had somewhere important to be:)
