Chocolate Dipped Honeycomb

{should look like this after it cooks to hardball point}
{semi-sweet chocolate melting}
I decided to make some candy today... the good thing about this recipe Hokey Pokey {aka Honeycomb} is there are only a couple things you need.  I did attempt this twice before I got it just right.  The recipe does not tell you to cook the sugar and syrup to the hardball stage{which is why I had to do this twice}.  I have always loved this candy! I remember getting it at a candy store all the time.  Super excited that I can whip up a batch anytime now=} It took me right back to when I was little.

Looks delicious! Reminds me of the baskin and robins honeycomb ice cream which I've only had once and it was amazing. Not that I go to baskin and robins often enough to know if it's a usual flavor. But now I look to see if they have it everytime I pass a Baskin and Robins, and they never do, which is a let down. I'll have to find out where to get honeycomb and make this myself!
